{}My expectations from Valentine's day are pretty simple compared to that clichéd, costly package of romantic dinners, weekend vacations, glamorous gifts. I think it's nice to have another day to celebrate love, but that pressure of this having to be the most romantic day ever only sucks the romance out of the day and makes us all prone to disappointment. My favorite way of marking the occasion is sharing dessert with my love; possibly a chocolate soufflé or a big sundae, both of which are never as fun to eat by myself. Each bites tastes sweeter when it's him holding the spoon.

Benim Sevgililer Günü beklentilerim, bize pompalanan klişeleşmiş romantik yemekler, haftasonu tatilleri, görkemli hediyelerden oluşan pakete kıyasla bir hayli basit. Bence aşkı kutlayacak bir ekstra gün olması iyi hoş, ancak bugünü romantik geçirme baskısı sonunda günün romantizmini kaçırmaktan ve hayal kırıklığı yaratmaktan başka bir işe yaramıyor. Bence bugünü kutlamanın en güzel yolu sevgilimle bir tatlıyı paylaşmak; özellikle de çikolatalı sufle veya kocaman bir kup dondurma gibi tek başına yendiğinde asla sevgiliyle paylaşıldığındaki kadar tatlı gelmeyen birşeyi. Hem hazırladığı mükemmel sufle/krema/şeker oranlı kaşığı kendi yemeye kıyamayıp sevgilisine yediren bir erkekten daha tatlı ne olabilir?
