Freaking Out: Paris
{}
{}
I have a business trip to Paris in October. It will be my first time and I'm super excited, so I extended the trip for a few more days! However I'm totally freaking out as I have no idea what hotel to stay in. It has to be cheap, it has to be safe, and it has to be somewhat near the major attractions. I'm not after luxuries but bedbugs and rusty tubs are just not ok. I know which sites to pick hotels from but there are hundreds, so I'd rather trust the taste of my beloved readers and pick a tried-and-tested hotel. So help, anyone?

Update: Thank you everyone, you guys made great suggestions and have been tremendous help. I narrowed it down to 2 hotels and finally made a decision. I'll let you know how it was when I return. If I ever go back to Paris I will definitely try to book ahead though, during my search I came across such beautiful B&B's with such low prices, of course fully booked. They are SO beautiful that I'd put their pictures on my blog! If you're interested, drop me an e-mail and I'll send you a couple of links. Another option would be to take a vacation rental; you get a whole nicely decorated apartment and it's ridiculously cheap if you're a small group. So that's my advice to anyone who wants to go to Paris.

Interior Designers: What Do They Really Do?
One part artist, one part business professional and one part circus ringmaster, an interior designer is more than just a pretty face with an eye for beauty. From sketching, designing and arranging beautiful spaces to shopping for furniture and household accessories, there's no shortage of excitement in an interior design career. A job in this field can provide opportunities to travel and work with a variety of people. However, no job can be all glamour. Interior designers must be able to manage people, budgets and client relationships—all while designing spaces that are attractive, functional, and meet building and safety codes.
Interior designers must have organizational skills and business know-how, as well as great taste and artistic ability. It comes as little surprise, then, that getting an interior design degree is quickly becoming essential for those wishing to enter the interior design job market. A degree is also a licensure requirement in many states. (Continue reading interior design job description...)

Soulmates

This shade of blue got me screaming like Samantha Jones. It's shape is almost identical to my favorite sofa, and it's in my current favorite color. When we recently went to buy a sofa for the new house, we wanted to get the Ikea Karlstad in Korndal Blue, as seen in this post of Hidden in France. Our current sofa, armchair and footstool are all off-white, almost identical to the ones in the above picture. We meant to combine those with the new blue sofa but unfortunately they didn't have it anymore. We got another color and don't regret it, it is SO comfortable.

Hidden in France'in bu yazısının sonunda görebilirsiniz.

Oh, loving the old chest of drawers. I hereby proudly(or shamefully) announce that me and my mom picked up our first piece of reclaimed furniture (old, wooden, painted blue chair) from the garbage this month.
