This is one of the most beautiful children's rooms I have ever come across. Every detail is perfect. The cradle seen above, believe it or not, was bought from Ikea in 1972, and the family used it for all the children they had in several generations! I read somewhere that the Ikea PS Sinka cabinet (seen left) is to be discontinued. I took the news with sorrow as I've always wanted one but the relatively high price stopped me from buying it as I didn't really need it. I might regret this decision in a few years.

Bugüne dek en çok beğendiğim çocuk odalarından biri. Her detayı mükemmel. Fotoğrafta görülen beşik 1972 ylında Ikea'dan alınmış, ve birkaç jenerasyondur ailede doğan her çocukta kullanmışlar! Ayrıca yine üstte, solda görülen Ikea PS Sinka çekmeceli dolap yakında piyasadan kalkacakmış. Bu haberi elemle karşıladım çünkü çok beğendiğim, istediğim, ama pek de ihtiyacım olmadığı için nispeten yüksek olan fiyatını ödemeyi göze alamadığım bir parçaydı. Umarım birkaç seneye bu kararımdan kafamı taşlara vurmam.

Hotel-inspired bedroom looks cozy. It says in the article that the curtains are hiding a wall and giving the illusion of larger windows. The carpeted floors, which I doubt I will ever attempt, looks beautiful here.

A wonderful porch. My two least favorite colors, orange and green, working great together. I have an urge to call this a breakfast room. Can you imagine having a room dedicated to having breakfast? Bliss!

Being exposed to them all my life I can't even look at kilims. But this entryway looks nice somehow. The beautiful coat hooks take the credit.

Well, ugly isn't allowed in this blog but I'll let bad in for once. I'll start with the good. For a fistful of dollars you can acquire a simple gorgeous bedroom, with the lack of a headboard making it even more stylish. Note the artwork above the bed compensating for it. I love the shape of the stool beside the bed.

This one doesn't even have proper flooring or a light fixture, but if stylishness is in you, it still shows. Just like the first room, this one has black & white artwork, this time resting beside the bed. And again a very beautiful stool serving as a nightstand.

I live in a four bedroom apartment all by myself and yet I have space issues. Currently, the four rooms are used as my bedroom, an overly cluttered office which I never use(I'm paralyzed by the thought of making something out of this room), my parents' bedroom for when they visit, and a spare room with books, a sofa, an armchair and my coats... It amazes me the fast rate which clutter tends to accumulate in spare rooms. So I decided to turn mine into a dressing room. This means no more wardrobe in my bedroom. I already told you I was going to re-purpose the table as well, so this means I'll have a big empty bedroom with nothing but a bed in it. Currently I'm sleeping in a single bed, so I can definitely use an upgrade. This strikes me as an excellent opportunity to make a statement with my bed! And what's better than a four poster bed to achieve a little drama?

Despite them still not sending me a gift basket for my constant customer evangelism; I have my eye on the Ikea Edland. That bed, Tord Boontje Garland in silver, some hotel-like sheets, lace curtains, and wallpaper on the wall behind my bed is all I want in this room. I'd paint the floors white but I'm one of those people who can never paint wood. By the way, Laura Ashley in Turkey stopped selling the wallpaper I had my eye on. It's on sale on their website but they don't ship here, talk about bad luck.

Anna Sui's kitchen is wonderfully goth. The backdrop of the sink, the ceiling lamp, the cabinets (note that the upper and lower cabinets don't match) and how they're modernized with the subway tiles is spectacular. You can see the rest of her house here; the other rooms are slightly (or overly) goth as well, a bit too much for my taste, but she does patterned wallpaper very well.

So whoever owns this property that I saw on Shoot Factory must be very, very grateful. Every picture of this house made my heart beat faster! What an exterior, what a garden, what an interior! It feels like "home" even though I have never been there... If you feel the same you can see the rest of the pictures here. The house is set on 5 acres of gardens, meadows and woodland, located in Heathfield near London.

The deliciously dark floor boards are gorgeous. Gigantic arched windows, book shelves, the classic elegance of the furniture, the use of blue porcelain vases on several places, and most importantly the glorious light that fills up this space; just gorgeous.

Very nice living room by Jeffrey Bilhuber. The bookcases, sconces and picture frames have a very symmetrical arrangement, but this symmetry is anything but dull thanks to the kind of weird animal(hippos?) paintings on the middle. The result is a relaxing, rich, warm room with caramel walls.

"Ron's Hotel Sweet", which won third place in Apartment Therapy's "Smallest Coolest Apartments 2007" contest. That mirror on the wall seriously resembles a piece of bitter patisserrie chocolate, and the rest of the room is a great mix of chocolate, white and black. The brown and white walls meeting at the corner, and the frame grouping on the white wall are really spectacular.
